Art Deco
Art Deco is a visual arts design style which originated in France in the 1920s. Influential and eclectic, it combines traditional craft motifs with machine-made materials and is most often characterised by eye-catching and bold shapes, deep, rich colours and grand, lavish styles Art Deco represents elegance, wealth, sophistication and glamour. It oozes luxury and wallpaper in Art Deco designs look best hung on feature walls in lounges and large hallways and staircases, or in studies/libraries, in larger homes. It is a style which is also better suited to older houses which have what's known as 'character' rather than new-build flats etc.
